Traffic Reopened Following Fatal Three-Vehicle Indian Head Highway Crash In Maryland

Police say that a driver was killed in a violent crash involving several vehicles in Fort Washington overnight.

Shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were called to a renowned stretch of Indian Head Highway near Farmington Drive to investigate a reported crash.

Authorities said that one person was killed, and another driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The third was uninjured.

The crash led to closures on the southbound lanes of Indian Head Highway, which reopened at around 6 a.m. on Friday.

It remains under investigation.
